The barrier to healing

Hard-to-heal wounds don't stay clean on their own.

A wound is generally considered hard-to-heal when it hasn't closed by 40–50% after four weeks of good standard care. Most of these wounds carry a biofilm — a protective layer of bacteria and debris that blocks healing and can reform within 48–72 hours of being removed.

That's why debridement isn't a one-off step. It needs to happen regularly, as part of an ongoing wound care routine, to stop biofilm from re-establishing and to keep the wound bed, edges and surrounding skin progressing toward closure.

How it works

Clean. Hydrate. Heal.

Three actions, built into a single pre-moistened device — mechanical debridement and a biofilm-disrupting solution, working together on both sides of the fabric.

Clean

Physically and chemically cleanses the wound bed and periwound skin, lifting biofilm, debris and necrotic tissue.

Hydrate

The pre-moistened, active solution hydrates and soothes the skin, supporting a healthier wound environment.

Heal

By keeping the wound bed clear and biofilm at bay, UCS Debridement helps create the right conditions for healing to progress.
